Turmeric is a plant related to ginger. It is a major ingredient in curry powders, Common in many Asian and Indian dishes.
It is also used as a coloring for foods, fabrics and cosmetics.
Turmeric comes from the ground, so it’s acidic in terms of removal.
As mentioned before… “It’s not just the stain, it’s what the stain is on, that can be tricky.”
Being this ingredient is also used to dye fabrics, improper stain removal process could, and likely will, cause color loss.
Before getting to far ahead of yourself, test the garment for color fastness.
(Take a clean white towel and put it on the nose of your spotting board. On an unexposed seem, apply steam, just to make sure colors don’t bleed.)
